FOUNDED November 2008

FOUNDER & CEO Heather Kelly
Heather Kelly is a suburban Chicago native who currently lives with  her husband and four boys.  A former Executive Assistant, she was driven to the confectionery market out of pure curiosity and the desire to make extra money for her busy family. With  a bag of sugar, a bottle of corn syrup, a store bought candy mold and sticks, she began experimenting with hard candy concepts and ways to make them unique and creative.  Candy-making is an old process dating back to the 1800s. Hence, the company name Vintage Confections, was born. She uses an old process along with modern-day technology and innovative concepts to transform ordinary lollipops into the extraordinary. Vintage Confections is a leader in the market, specializing in encapsulated edible art lollipops. The concept was developed in her home kitchen and she introduced the idea to the confectionery market in 2012 by way of Etsy, where she still maintains a presence online.  She left her full-time job as an executive assistant in 2013 to oversee Vintage Confections in a full-time capacity.

CFO Cheryl Carr
Cheryl Carr lives in suburban Chicago with her husband and three children. She is a Certified Public Accountant, with a decorated resume including tenure at UBS and Deloitte and Touche. Cheryl began assisting Vintage Confections in an administrative capacity before taking over full responsibility for financials and international sales. She oversees the retail operation in Clarendon Hills, Illinois and contributes to the creative process of the lollipop designs offered by Vintage Confections. Cheryl is a graduate of Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana.

Vintage Confections makes custom lollipops.  And we've been doing it since 2008.  In 2012, we launched what is now an internationally recognized  product.  The encapsulated edible art lollipop and specifically, our Planet Lollipops have been shipped all over the world.  Our lollipops are made by hand in small batches in our fully licensed manufacturing facility located in Darien, Illinois.  Our staff of more than 30 individuals carefully pour, wrap and package every single lollipop by hand.  Lollipops are 100% edible and can be fully customized.  The possibilities are literally endless with our ability to use digital graphics and even scan hand sketched drawings and artwork for the lollipops.  Custom lollipops make outstanding conversation starters and since the images are encapsulated, they last until the lollipop is gone.

Our products, while very popular in China, are not and will not be made anywhere other than the USA.  We pride ourselves in using high quality ingredients and maintaining full control of our operation to ensure each and every lollipop meets customer satisfaction.
